The Electrical Toolbox is an application that provides calculations for several common electrical tasks. The calculations are based on the 2008 and 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC). Calculations include:

* Voltage Drop – Calculator provides voltage drop and voltage drop percent for single and three phase loads on copper conductors.

* Motor Information – Calculator provides the motor full load amps and locked rotor amps for single and three phase motors. Calculator also provides recommended circuit breaker size and motor starter size based on Square D Motor Data Calculator.

* Equipment Ground Conductor - Calculator provides the required equipment ground conductor size for copper and aluminum conductors.

* Grounding Electrode Conductor - Calculator provides the required grounding electrode conductor size for copper and aluminum conductors.

* Conduit Fill – Calculator provides the allowed conduit fill size for 6 types of conduit and 12 conductor types.

*Wire Ampacity - Calculator provides the maximum allowed ampacity for 26 different wire types.

*Transformer - Calculator provides the full load primary and secondary amps for a given transformer size and also provides the maximum allowed primary and secondary overcurrent protection.

Version 1.2 adds:

*Support for both 2008 and 2011 versions of the NEC.

*Recommended circuit breaker size and motor starter size to motors calculator. Recommended values are based on Square D Motor Data Calculator.

*Distance Converter – Converts between Millimeters, Meters, Kilometers, Inches, Feet and Miles.

*Temperature Converter – Converts between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
