Gdynia City Guide app is a comprehensive tourist guide to Gdynia, focusing mainly on its eventful cultural calendar and tourist attractions. Not only Gdynia dwellers, but also tourists will surely find something that interests them in the extensive list of recreational venues. In addition to tourist attractions, it includes details of restaurants and accommodation facilities as well as sports, recreational, leisure or even shopping facilities! The app also serves as a reliable, constantly updated guide to the events taking place in the city. Among several hundred events listed in the guide, you will easily find the most important occasions that each year attract people from all over the world. The Open’er Festival, Red Bull Air Race Gdynia 2014, Operation Gdynia Sails - a rally of the world’s greatest sailing ships, the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, Coca Cola Cup or Gdynia Blues Festival are just some examples. The application uses GPS only to determine the user's location and how far away from user are objects presented in the application. You can turn off finding your position in the application settings screen.

Downloading data

To ensure access to the latest content application retrieves information from the remote server when user launches update process (about 8 MB of data). While application is running it also downloads photos and GPX trails when they should to be displayed. To avoid the cost of mobile transferring use WiFi network.
