You are writing them on your Windows Phone and by clicking the send button the note is sending to your connected device. Now you can have address or your seat in the train on your Microsoft Band and you don't need to pull out your phone for this information.
Opening MyBandNotes for the first time will try to install an additional tile on your Microsoft Band. Keep in mind that there's a limit of how many tiles you can fit in your Band, so you may be prompted to remove one before adding BandNotes with the help of the Microsoft Health app.
