Learn and develop your card-counting skills using one of the easiest, most well-known methods.

The approach is simple: start with a count of zero. When an ace, ten or face card (Jack, Queen or King) is dealt, subtract one from your count; when a two, three, four, five or six is dealt, add one. The remaining cards - seven, eight, and nine - are neutral.

To use this technique in game of blackjack, the count is a hint as to how probable an ace or ten is. A high count means the shoe is stacked with those high cards. A very low count means those cards are exhausted relative to the lower value cards. Use this information to inform your decisions about how big to bet and whether to split your hand.

Hi-Lo Lite is a very lightweight, no-cost, ad-free app that uses the Hi-Lo method to help you learn how to count cards. In training mode, tap the screen to get a new card. The running count is shown at the bottom of the screen. When you're ready to move on, use testing mode to automatically give you new cards at a regular pace. In testing mode, tap the screen to pause and show you the running count.

In the settings page, you can set how many decks you want to use and the speed at which new cards are dealt in testing mode. While you can use an arbitrary number of decks, the true count is not supported.
