Forget creating accounts with various levels of personal data and different passwords for all the different websites and online services. The only thing you need is a Digidentity and this app! As part of the registration for a Digidentity (account), download the Digidentity app. This app helps you complete the registration process securely and more quickly. For example: You can use the app to verify your identity, by taking and uploading a photo of your passport, national ID card or driving licence (‘Upload Documents’).

Don’t worry, all your personal data is kept safe and not shared with anyone, unless you specifically authorise us! You can use the Digidentity app (‘Account Access’) to set up a two-factor authentication code. By supplying this personal time-based code alongside your other login details, you will add an extra layer of security to your account. You can always use this code, even without an internet or phone connection. The time-based codes are stored under ‘My Authenticators'.

To add an even higher level of security to your account, you can create an eSmartcard. To do so, you will be asked to set up a PIN code and, optionally, a biometric id (your fingerprint

for example). Every time you sign in to your account you will get a notification on your device requesting you to approve this by entering this PIN code or biometric id.

When you have a Digidentity, you can easily add an Idensys, eHerkenning or eSGNG (e-signing) to your account. And your Digidentity will provide you with your own super-safe online identity. You can log in with authorities and companies, as your verified, true self.
