While this was designed to be used for Academic Decathlon, it can also be used to learn how to think on the fly. The rules of an impromptu are:

1. You have one minute to chose between the three topics and start preparing.

2. Give a 1 minute 30 second to 2 minute speech on the subject.

3. In general, you should try to avoid being controversial.

There are currently 33 total topics, 11 per category.
